My Review:
Thank you to the author for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
Strange Medicine is the third short story collection I have read by Mike Russell, and I have to say I think it’s my favourite. The level of detail the he puts into his stories is unparalleled. I can always picture so vividly the things he is describing, it almost feels like I’m actually inside the world he has created. There are 8 stories in this book; my favourites were Mime and Mr. Dennis and the Universe. I have come to find that the stories I enjoy more are always the longer ones, probably just going back to the fact that I enjoy all the work he puts into the details.
I would recommend this book to anyone. It was a very quick and interesting read š
Great review! I’m not one for short stories but this seems like a good one. What are your favorite short stories?

Thank you! Honestly I had never read one before this author, but I find they’re really good when you want a quick and interesting read. I have been eying some by Oscar Wilde as I just finished reading The Picture of Dorian Gray and loved his writing!
